quick update

haha, many fun things have been happening these few days, and i've really no time to jot them all down nicely! but oh well, so i don't forget these wonderful things, i'll just make a quick post, even though i'm like, super busy now :P
saturday was handover, and like esther said, you really feel like a proud parent when you see our juniors stepping up and taking over company admin! haha so amazing! they've really matured a lot, and i had a great time preparing my notes and gifts for them throughout the week, haha :P made me think and reflect a lot about where they've come from, all the way back from year1! big changes indeed (: and to think that next year we'll be having grandjuniors of our own! oh my clement, you're getting old! yes indeed you are! okay lah not really... :P but feels like it!
did anyone know that ikea sells 10piece meatballs for only $4 on tuesdays!!! haha well i just found out yesterday, when mong, ben and i went there for lunch. mmmm love love love their meatballs :D shared a plate of 6 chicken wings with ben as well, so all the delicious meat and oil slid down my thoat :D mmmm! yummy yummy, i'm definitely going again next tuesday, if we're free! and of course, it's always great just having these little outings and spending time with great friends - people and puppies (:
and obviously the recent few days have been used preparing for ioc... meh, really so so much to do! but i'm glad i'm actually having the drive to do work! so rare, and i have to thank martin for that! haha we're making ioc notes together with charmaine, so like, i feel this pressure to make my notes asap! i'm already much slower than both of them, so there's even more pressure haha... but i'm really trying my best to churn them out! i'm really thankful i'm working with them though, if not i'd probably still be lazing around. and thank God for ms cheung (not writing her full name cos i hate blog searches on google and stuff...), cos her spoonfeeding of analysis is REALLY SUPER GOOD! a world of difference from quah last year, and it's really like my entire ib english syllabus has been taught only be 1 teacher, out of the 3 that i have/had. really pro for this kinda stuff! haha.
now, i'm writing the personal qualities stuff as well... haha i really don't know how to phrase all the things properly! ESPECIALLY the academic stuff, since i totally didn't do anything extra in terms of academics. mmm, i'll ask around later i guess. but i'm really happy that i can actually write this without having to exaggerate stuff, or blow my trumpet more than necessary. i'm writing stuff that's really genuine and true, instead of stuff used to make me look good. haha, i THINK my convictions do sound good as it is, but we'll see what the teachers say when the vet through i guess :P but i'm really pleased with it! it's also like seeing the stuff i've done in ib, and seeing where it has brought me, and how it has shaped me and my personality to what it is now (: i'm really having a clearer direction of my goals in life, especially after i had to think about it so much while preparing for presman interviews :P
oh and i got distinguished service for primers too! haha okay i don't know whether i'm allowed to be posting that now, but i'm really thankful (: i know the award is useless and all lah, but i think i would've been rather startled if i didn't get that either heh. not that i was expecting to get it! just that it may have been rather a double whammy after not receiving presman. haha but no need to think about that, since it didn't happen :P and the other good thing is that i'll get to sit with the bb people during the national day celebration, instead of my class!!! i don't hate my class, in fact i've grown to love it! like, really! but i do have to be honest and say that i feel more at home with the bb people (: so yay, i'll get to sit with them and go crazy while singing patriotic songs to mal-... erm, singapore! negaraku!
woohoo wrote so much in 15min! i'm on a roll man! best rate of production for ages i think; if only i could do the same for my pq and cca thingum now! haha oh wells, this was a nice time, jotting down my thoughts :D snapshotland, without the snapshots. mmm (:
